Africa has the opportunity to build an electric mobility infrastructure ecosystem designed for its own realities rather than replicating models from more mature markets. This includes grid-connected and off-grid charging, renewable energy integration, battery storage, smart charging, digital connectivity, and resilient power systems that support both urban centres and regional transport corridors. Heavy-duty transport and freight corridors offer a particularly strong starting point, creating concentrated and predictable demand that can accelerate infrastructure investment while strengthening regional trade and energy resilience.

This track brings together utilities, transport and energy ministries, city governments, regulators, charging providers, telecom operators, OEMs, technology companies, investors, and development finance institutions to accelerate the deployment of Africa's charging and energy ecosystem. By combining African priorities with Nordic and European expertise, the track explores how infrastructure, digital connectivity, interoperability, and innovative financing can create reliable, connected, and future-ready mobility systems that support the continent's long-term economic growth.
