EV Circularity
Africa has a unique opportunity to become a global leader in circular electric mobility by building value chains that extend far beyond the extraction of raw materials. Rather than exporting resources, the continent can create greater economic value through local manufacturing, assembly, repair, remanufacturing, reuse, recycling, and renewable energy integration—strengthening industrial competitiveness while creating jobs and attracting long-term investment.
This track explores the entire electric mobility lifecycle, from critical minerals and materials to batteries, vehicles, charging infrastructure, and end-of-life solutions. Bringing together governments, industry, investors, research institutions, and development partners, it focuses on the policies, standards, finance, innovation, skills, and partnerships needed to build resilient circular industries across Africa. Through collaboration between African and Nordic partners, the track aims to develop practical recommendations and investment opportunities that position Africa at the forefront of the global circular economy on the Road to COP32.
