Yngvild Berggrav is Ambassador-Designate of Norway to Ethiopia and a senior diplomat with more than 25 years of experience in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Since 2024, she has served as Senior Adviser in the Ministry's Section for Peace and Reconciliation. Before this appointment, she was Chargé d'Affaires a.i. in Damascus and Policy Director in the Section for Humanitarian Affairs.
Her diplomatic career includes assignments in Bogotá and The Hague, as well as senior roles across humanitarian affairs, development policy and peacebuilding. From 2019 to 2022, she also served on the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund Advisory Group.
Yngvild holds a master's degree in Social Geography from the University of Oslo. Her international experience and fluency in English and Spanish support her work across complex diplomatic and multilateral environments.
At the Africa EV Summit 2026 in Addis Ababa, she joins The Nordic Perspective panel to discuss how Nordic experience, public leadership and international partnership can support Africa's sustainable electric-mobility transition.
