H.E. Sune Krogstrup

H.E. Sune Krogstrup is Denmark’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, South Sudan, Djibouti, and Sudan, and Permanent Representative to the African Union. With two decades of diplomatic experience, he has previously served as Ambassador to Nigeria, Deputy Head of Mission in Addis Ababa, and as First Secretary at the Danish Representative Office in Palestine. Before his ambassadorial postings, he held several leadership roles in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, directing work on African regional development, peace and stabilization initiatives, and Denmark’s multilateral engagement.

H.E. Krogstrup holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen with a specialization in African politics. His extensive on-the-ground experience across the continent, combined with strong strategic and managerial capabilities, positions him as a strong voice on diplomacy, development, and regional dynamics in Africa.
