Scaling East Africa's
EV ecosystem.
Building the vehicles, charging infrastructure and service network needed to accelerate electric mobility across East Africa.
Nick Hu is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of KABISA Electric, an integrated electric-vehicle platform headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda.
KABISA brings together electric-vehicle distribution, charging infrastructure and maintenance services to support the practical electrification of transport in Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
Before co-founding KABISA, Nick built access infrastructure across Africa. As Head of Global Operations at Zipline, he helped launch and scale national drone-delivery networks in five African countries and develop six distribution hubs.
He later served as Executive Director of Health Innovation at SAND Technologies, where he developed a rural health operating system that digitised more than 200 health posts in Rwanda. Earlier, he co-founded the Techstars-backed teledermatology venture First Derm.
At the Africa EV Summit 2026 in Addis Ababa, Nick contributes an operator and entrepreneur's perspective on powering heavy-duty vehicles and building regional electric-mobility corridors that can scale commercially across East Africa.
