Mika Turpeinen is the Founder and General Manager of Swan Management Plc in Ethiopia and a senior energy adviser with extensive experience in energy, climate and environmental initiatives across emerging markets.

His work spans the full scale of energy access and infrastructure, from small solar-home systems to utility-scale and gigawatt-class power projects. His current focus includes smart grids, advanced metering infrastructure and energy-data analytics in developing economies.

Mika combines technical energy expertise with business development, project management and strategic advisory experience. He has worked with multinational companies, startups, public institutions and government stakeholders to translate complex technologies into practical market solutions.

Through Swan Management, he helps connect Nordic and international expertise with East African energy markets, supporting renewable energy, grid modernisation, energy efficiency, policy development and climate-related investment.

At the Africa EV Summit 2026, Mika brings a systems-level perspective to the question of how African electricity networks can accommodate expanding electric mobility while strengthening reliability, flexibility and access.
