Matthew Sellar is a Scottish-French economist and serial entrepreneur. He grew up in South-East Asia and France before studying in Edinburgh, London and Barcelona.
Having lived across South-East Asia, West Africa and Latin America, he witnessed widespread deprivation, inequality and untapped talent. His objective is to help redress these challenges through his work and life.
Matthew spent ten years as an economist, diplomat and Deputy Ambassador to Senegal for the UK Government.
In 2021, he founded Mbay Mobility, an e-mobility fintech deploying electric vehicles at speed and scale across West and Central Africa. The company works to reduce air pollution and carbon emissions while increasing financial inclusion.
