Julia Walschebauer is Team Leader for the Green Deal at the EU Delegation to Ethiopia. Her portfolio brings together digital transformation, energy, sustainable agriculture, climate, transport and infrastructure.
Before joining the Delegation, Julia worked at the European Commission in Brussels in the Directorate-General for Energy and the Directorate-General for International Partnerships. From 2021 to 2025, she served as Policy Adviser to the Deputy Director-General.
Earlier in her career, she worked as Business Development Manager for Stantec on development-cooperation projects, with a particular focus on renewable-energy policy in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Julia is German and Danish. She studied Business and Finance at Maastricht University and Political Economy at the London School of Economics.
At the Africa EV Summit 2026, Julia contributes a European cooperation and investment perspective to the work of creating a practical, continentally relevant roadmap for African e-mobility.
