Building momentum
for electric mobility.

A long-standing electric-mobility advocate advancing the electrification of land and maritime transport.

Jørn Grønkjær Jensen is Chair of the Danish EV Association and a pioneer in electric vehicles and e-mobility. He has driven electric vehicles since 2013 and co-founded an electric boat-ferry company in 2018.

He co-founded EV City and helped establish the World’s Longest EV Parade at the official opening of Denmark’s Silkeborg Motorway in 2016, setting a Guinness World Record. He also founded the annual Denmark’s E-Mobility Municipality of the Year award.

Jørn initiated and co-founded Copenhagen E-Prix in connection with Denmark’s Formula E bid. He later served as Nordic Broadcast Agent for Extreme E, including its Arctic X-Prix at Greenland’s Russell Glacier in 2021.

He is strongly committed to electrifying both road and maritime transport. His work includes co-founding the Electric Boat Nordics network, participating in Nordic and European collaborative projects, testing new EV models and competing in electric-vehicle races across Europe.

Jørn is also editor of We-Economy, co-founder of the global Green Key environmental programme, and an international speaker on the history of electric vehicles, climate and the influence of the oil industry.
