ABOUT
Helena Teppana is an Associate Director at Finnfund, Finland's development financier and impact investor, where she leads investments in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and electric mobility across emerging markets. With more than two decades of experience in development finance, Helena has played a pivotal role in mobilizing private capital for projects that deliver both commercial returns and measurable social and environmental impact.
Throughout her career, Helena has been at the forefront of financing clean energy infrastructure in Africa and Asia. More recently, Helena has championed Finnfund's growing investments in electric mobility, supporting charging infrastructure, commercial electric vehicle deployment, and innovative mobility solutions in emerging markets. She is a strong advocate for electric mobility not only as a climate solution, but also as a means of improving public health, strengthening energy security, and creating new economic opportunities in rapidly growing cities.
A frequent speaker at international forums, Helena brings extensive experience in structuring impactful investments and fostering partnerships between governments, development finance institutions, investors, and the private sector. Her work is driven by the belief that well-targeted capital can accelerate sustainable development while enabling resilient and inclusive economic growth across Africa and other emerging markets.
