Helena Teppana is Associate Director, Energy at Finnfund, Finland's development financier and impact investor. She leads investments in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure and electric mobility across emerging markets.

With more than two decades of experience in development finance, Helena has played a pivotal role in mobilising private capital for projects designed to deliver commercial returns together with measurable social and environmental impact.

Throughout her career, Helena has helped finance clean-energy infrastructure in Africa and Asia. She was closely involved in the development of Kenya's Lake Turkana Wind Power Project and served on its Board of Directors from 2014, helping guide the project from construction into successful operation.

More recently, she has championed Finnfund's growing electric-mobility investments, supporting charging infrastructure, commercial electric vehicle deployment and innovative mobility solutions in emerging markets. She views electric mobility as a climate solution and as a route to better public health, stronger energy security and new economic opportunities.

Helena brings extensive experience in structuring impactful investments and fostering partnerships between governments, development finance institutions, investors and the private sector. Her work demonstrates how well-targeted capital can accelerate resilient, inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
