Daniel Bongardt heads GIZ's global Infrastructure and Mobility team and is responsible for transport projects funded by Germany's International Climate Initiative.
From 2011 to 2015, Daniel was based in Beijing, where he led GIZ's urban mobility team in China and worked on the transition towards more sustainable transport systems.
He is relocating to Nairobi, Kenya, to work with African countries on advancing electric mobility and strengthening the policies, institutions and partnerships required for implementation.
Before joining GIZ in 2009, Daniel spent 11 years researching sustainable mobility at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy in Germany.
