Stuart Minnaar is Founder and Investment Lead at MobilityX Africa. He has spent 15 years working at the intersection of capital and early-stage companies across Africa, the United Kingdom and the European Union.

Founded in 2024, MobilityX Africa is a specialist investment platform covering more than 220 African e-mobility companies and over 150 capital allocators across 15 markets. Its market intelligence supports investment decisions grounded in direct operator relationships.

Stuart has personally interviewed more than 150 African mobility founders to build a detailed, ground-level picture of the sector. That fieldwork underpins the asset-financing models he structures for operators that cannot access conventional debt without diluting equity.

MobilityX Africa operates across ecosystem intelligence, infrastructure financing and equity syndication. Stuart also manages the African Mobility Investment Network, which brings together more than 60 active members, including development finance institutions, venture capital firms and corporate venture arms.

He produces the annual State of the African Mobility Ecosystem report and the Top 50 African Mobility Companies ranking. His speaking work focuses on African e-mobility investment, market structure and the capital gap facing operators as they scale.
