Connecting regional partners to turn zero-emission freight ambitions into practical programmes and deployment.

Claire Nkhoma is the East Africa Coordinator at Smart Freight Centre (SFC), where she supports regional programmes and partnerships aimed at accelerating the transition to zero-emission freight across East Africa.

Her work focuses on coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives that bring together the private sector, government, financial institutions, research organisations and development partners to address the practical, financial and policy challenges associated with freight decarbonisation. She contributes to projects focused on zero-emission truck deployment, freight electrification, emissions transparency and the development of viable pathways for scaling cleaner freight solutions in the region.

At the Africa EV Freight Forum, Claire will deliver the opening remarks, welcoming participants and helping set the stage for discussions on accelerating the transition to zero-emission freight across Africa.
