Cathrine Barth is Co-Founder and General Manager of Nordic Circular Hotspot and Partner and Head of Circular Economy at the strategy agency Natural State. She works with public and private organisations to develop circular innovation strategies and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Cathrine is also a University Lecturer at the School of Economics and Business at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), where she teaches circular economy to master's students. Her work connects academic insight with business development, strategy and practical implementation.
As an international expert contributing to the ISO/TC 323 standardisation process for circular economy, she brings experience in systems design thinking, collaborative innovation, circular business models and value-network development.
She helped initiate the Circularity Gap Report for Norway and has played a central role in building Nordic Circular Hotspot as a cross-border platform for knowledge exchange and circular-economy collaboration across the Nordic region.
At the Africa EV Summit 2026, Cathrine contributes to discussions on critical minerals, circular EV value chains and the business models needed to retain more value from electric-mobility materials across Africa.
