Turning global
ambition into
local action.
Connecting global transport and climate frameworks with coalitions capable of delivering inclusive, healthy and low-carbon mobility in the places where change must happen.
Carly Gilbert-Patrick is Secretary General of the SLOCAT Partnership. Working with its Board, partners and supporters, she sets strategic direction, drives programme delivery, represents the Partnership in global and regional processes, and supports its continued institutional and financial sustainability.
Before joining SLOCAT, Carly led teams within the United Nations Environment Programme’s Sustainable Mobility Unit across active mobility, access to public transport, transport digitalisation and modal integration. Her work involved designing and delivering programmes with governments and partners across Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Her expertise spans coalition-building for impact, sustainable mobility advocacy, regional and country-level support, and the practical work of connecting international frameworks to local priorities and delivery.
Carly has served as an Independent Board Member for SLOCAT. She is also a member of the UCI Cycling for All & Sustainable Cycling Commission and the Cities4Children Global Alliance, and a founding member of the Partnership for Active Travel and Health.
At the Africa EV Summit, Carly brings a systems perspective to the transition: one that links vehicle electrification with access, public transport, active mobility, climate policy and social equity.
