Binyam Reja is Regional Practice Manager in the World Bank's Infrastructure Department, based in Nairobi, where he leads transport strategy, investment and policy across East and Southern Africa.
He oversees a portfolio of more than US$6 billion spanning multimodal transport, logistics, economic corridors and clean mobility. He previously served as Global Practice Manager and Acting Global Director for Transport in Washington, DC, and as Regional Practice Manager for China, Mongolia and Central Asia in Beijing.
Binyam holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.
