Baerte de Brey is Senior Advisor, Electric Mobility at Stedin, a Dutch distribution system operator.
He analyses the long-term effects of electric mobility on electricity grids and helps build sustainable business cases around the transition. His areas of focus include vehicle-to-grid integration, regulatory barriers, cybersecurity and smart charging.
Baerte graduated from Leiden University with a law degree in 2001 and received an MBA from Nyenrode Business University in 2006.
After more than eleven years contributing to ElaadNL, Baerte has refocused fully on grid management, innovation and electric mobility at Stedin. Through his wider European and international work, he helps align charging standards and regulatory approaches for the benefit of grid operators, mobility providers and EV users.
